Born on the streets of New York City to homeless parents, Efu spent his formative years living in a cardboard box next to a dumpster in the notorious Bowery. Gifted a toy shovel and pail at the age of four, he began shoveling up after his neighbors, who were either unable or unwilling to use the PortoSan the city had generously provided for the encampment.
